Jacob Evans was selected as the 28th pick in the first round in the 2018 NBA Draft. Jacob was selected by the Golden State Warriors.
Former Warrior Jacob Evans has a successful Sophomore season at Cincinnati

Jacob Evans (class of 2015) Averaged 14.5 ppg and 4.8 rpg in his sophomore campaign. He was listed on the top 10 Jerry West Award watch-list that honors the top shooting guard in the nation. He made the second team All-District honors in thew NCAA tournament. We are so proud of Jacob and look forward to continue following his successes!
2016-17 Warriors season ends at the State Semi-Finals

The Warriors finished up their 2016-17 season with a loss at the State Semi-Finals vs. U-High. This was the 2nd time in the school's history that the Warrior Basketball program had advanced to the Top 28 State Semi-Finals. The Warriors finished their successful season with a 26-7 overall record.
Warriors Recieve the Chevy Program Spolight Award

Coach Drew Hart and the SMHS Boys Basketball Team received the Super Chevy Spotlight Trophy and a $250 check from All Star Chevrolet after mass this morning for their accomplishments on the basketball court and their volunteer efforts in the community. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!
Trent Schiller and Treylan Sibley make All-District Team

Trent Schiller ('18) and Treylan Sibley ('17) were both selected to the 6-4A All-District basketball teams. Evan Ragusa was selected Honorable Mention. Trent Schiller receive the 2nd highest voting total overall only being beat by Keandre Randall (Plaquemine) by 4 votes for District MVP.
Warriors Finish Regular Season 24 - 6 District Runner-up

The Warriors finished their regular season 24 - 6 overall and 8 - 2 in District 6 - 4A. The Warriors have received the number 5 seed on the State Tournament bracket and will open up in the Regional round vs. Vandebilt Catholic on Monday February 27 at 7:00 pm.
Basketball Cookout: Warriors late night Hoop Session

The Warriors had their annual BBQ and Basketball night at the gym on January 28th. Coach Hart cooked hamburgers and hot dogs for the boys while treating his assistant coaches to a amazing Louisiana Lagniappe dinner. The boys played hoops until the late hours of night and then finished the night up with a NBA2K17 tournament.
5th Annual Alumni Games a Success

It was a "Blast from the Past" type of night as the Warriors hosted the 5th annual Alumni Basketball Games. Warrior basketball players all the way back from the early 90's were in attendance. Coach Hart wants to thank all of the people who were involved in making this such a memorable event. Go Warriors!
Warriors help out flood victims

Many players and coaches were devastated by the floods in Louisiana. The Warriors basketball team got together and went out in the community to help those in need. Coach Hart said "I am so proud of my guys for stepping up and helping those in need. These young men are a true sign of how a Family bands together in times of need." The boys worked tireless hours to help out not only members of their team but others in the community as well.
